Something Sweeter Than Candy

Candy is yummy, but the Bible says God's Word is even sweeter: “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!” (Psalm 119:103). Here's the best news ever, as easy as A-B-C:

  1. A
    Admit

Everybody does wrong things. The Bible calls that sin, and it separates us from God.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
  2. B
    Believe

God loves you so much that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose again!

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…” John 3:16
  3. C
    Call

Ask Jesus to forgive you and be your Saviour. He promises He will!

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

Have questions? Ask your mom or dad, or come see us at church. We'd love to talk with you!

A Word for Moms & Dads

The most important question you'll ever answer.

The candy will be gone by Monday. Eternity won't. If you died today, do you know for certain you would go to Heaven? The Bible says you can know, and it shows us exactly how. Please take a few minutes to read God's plan for yourself, straight from the King James Bible.

The Plan of Salvation

God's plan to save you.

Salvation is not about being good enough, joining a church, or turning over a new leaf. It is about what Jesus Christ has already done for you, and whether you will trust Him.

Realize you are a sinner

Every one of us has broken God's law. None of us measures up to His holy standard, no matter how good we try to be.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:Romans 3:10
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags…Isaiah 64:6

Realize sin has a penalty

Sin carries a debt we cannot pay ourselves: death and eternal separation from God.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:Hebrews 9:27
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 6:23

Realize Jesus paid it all

God loved you too much to leave you lost. Jesus, God's sinless Son, died on the cross in your place, was buried, and rose again the third day.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.John 14:6

Receive Him by faith

Salvation is a free gift. You cannot earn it; you can only receive it by turning from your sin and trusting Jesus Christ alone to save you.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8–9
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:John 1:12

Rest in His promise

God doesn't want you to hope you're saved. He wants you to know it.

These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…1 John 5:13

Is the Lord dealing with your heart?

If God has been speaking to you about your soul and you have questions about how to be saved, please don't put it off. We would count it a privilege to sit down with you, open the Bible together, and show you from God's Word how you can know for certain you're going to Heaven. No pressure, and no question is too small.

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.2 Corinthians 6:2
